That's a pretty cool fish. But not as cool as a GIANT 3FOOT LONG MAN-EATING CORY!

Actually, it's not a cory, but Pseudodoras niger, a Doradid.

I like my BN. They are so busy. I guess it is because I bought them as fry and have been able to watch them grow.

I love my Danty CorriesLike Leslie^^^^^says about her BNs they are busy...I have air stones everywhere in the tank, and they have a way of finding the strongest current and begin at the top to swim straight down to the air stone, then let it push them back up to the top...back and forth, or maybe I should say up and down...they really are hilarious to watch, I think I need some more of themheidi

myxocyprinus asiaticus i am not sure if that is right. i know the real name but it might be in a different book.
another book say myxocyprinus asiatica sinensis. but the common names are:
chinese sailfin sucker,
chinese dolly loach,
dolly loach,
high fin loach,
Banded Hifin Shark.

Got a scientific name for that beast Bettachris? Only I want to know more. And with a scientific name I'll be able to do my usual Googling with some chance of success (I find that Google homes in FAR better on fish species if a scientific name is supplied).

As for my own favourite, well need anyone ask? Panda Corys ... ta-daaahhh!

Loricariids, Stingrays, Bichirs, Lungfish, Big Pims... Yeah, I suppose I'm a rare fish fanatic, but my favorites bottom fish are among the five groups listed. Unless I'm forgetting something...:%)

"you do know that high fin sharks turn into a salmon like fish when they get older. they loose there highfin and and redish coloration it looks like a regular dark brown or black carp like fish that you get at the groceries once it starts to get big."

And by big, he means arguably over 24" in length.
