I currently have this single loach in my aquarium, and I've had him for so long I can't remember what his common name is.

Hopefully that picture will do good enough. He's about two and a half inches long, and doesn't seem to have a preference for being awake at day or night.

Any ideas? Thanks. ^^;

I saw that guy, yeah. But I'm not very convinced that they're the same thing, the patterning seems way too different to me...

To me it looks like a Schistura corica or geisleri. One of the hillstream loaches from india.

I know I've seen that exact loach before on loaches.com but I entirely forget what it was under or even what I was looking for at the time. Here try the new pictorial species search on there:http://www.loaches.com/species-index/pictorial-species-search-index/pictorial-species-index-body-shape-pictures

I think you guys are right that it is some kind of Schistura, maybe the schistura corica or beavani. Not sure, but thank you all for pointing me in the right direction. ^_^
