What kind of barbs?

I never recommend buying fish when your "Low on cash" because new fish can bring unwanted diseases to your tank which you won't have the cash to buy meds for.

Well, I just posted on your other thread, and gave a lot of information on there.

Different cories range in prices, and the cheaper ones *usually* will get too big for a ten gallon tank IMO. Panda cories would be the perfect size, and typically cost *about* $5.99 each, but many chain stores will have lower prices. You can try to make a deal with them by saying you'll get a shoal of 6, and sometimes when you buy in "bulk" you can get discounts. Call several stores that you trust and find out who has the best price.

But like John said, be careful when buying low on cash, because you need to be able to treat emergencies.

HTH

EDIT: He stated he has 4 cherry barbs in his other post

$25 - (6 x $4.00) = $1 (w/o tax)

That's not even enough for a bottle of quick cure...

You'll be lucky if you can get small cories that cheap.... So I would say no.. You don't have enough.

From another post you say your tank has only been running for two days... You should wait before adding fish......... Cycle your tank... Then add more fish... This can take upto a month.

Cycling your tank... The process of turning fish waste (ammonia) into nitrite which is then turned into nitrate by a biological filter (bacteria on filter media) and then is taken out by small weekly water changes. Bacteria takes time to grow and develop, usually about a month... Sometiems longer... Stocking your tank fully in a week will cause an ammonia/nitrite spike and your fish to become stressed and possibly die... Unless of course you use bacterial starter such as NIC or Bio-Spira.

4 Barbs and 6 cories will stock your tank fully... No more fish... Period, ever.

More information about cycling can be found here.
