Swimming like that is quite normal for cories, and one of the ways they're so entertaining. They take "practice runs" to get up to the surface and gulp air, which they can absorb through their intestines to supplement what their gills provide. They also do spawning runs that look fairly similar, especially on days with high barometric pressure.
Not seeing them eat is a little more unusual, but give them a little time. Try feeding real treats, like frozen bloodworms, in the evening right before the lights go out, that should help. Soon enough they'll rush out whenever pellets start falling.

My cories did this for about four days straight before they started to settle down. Sure made me nervous, but now they usually stay near the bottom. I have no idea what made them do it, unfortunately.

I think it's normal behaviour with Corydoras. What are you feeding them?. Just drop some sinking pellets before you switch off the lights & they'll munch on them at night.

If you want to watch them eat, just drop in some flakes for the other fish and either some frozen bloodworms or zuchinni down the front of the tank and pull up a chair - in about 5 mins they should discover their treat - they are a riot!

Many catfish are nocturnal fish. One of the things that cories do best is investigate the bottom, it sounds like they're getting used to your tank. Don't forget that cories like to be kept in schools of six or more, so add at least two more cories soon, and they will really be happy!

When we got our cories the first week they did that and now they actually act their selves and scavenge the bottom.
