I am happy, I have Oto's again !!!

I was VERY fortunate yesterday. Went to a local aquarists house to buy a new swordplant/s.. And walked out with his entire school of 8 otos !!! This is the same person I bought my german blue rams from 2 months ago. (very healthy fish and plants)

They are extremely healthy and active. He threw a couple ludwigia (reopens ?) bits, and some riccia bits into the bag to help the otos feel safer on their journey. If I'm lucky the plants will grow too. I acclimated the otos for 3 hours.

Eight otos for 5 dollars. I am freaking !!!
They are swimming around in the 40 gal as a school,
I hope they will do well.

I'm concerned about the current lack of green algae but have some algae wafers and a fresh tomato.. I'll make some 'otocinclus pet rocks' also (growing green algae on them)

Crossing my fingers they will do well. At least they're not from the store I bought them before, they had a rather high die off rate.

Going shopping soon, should I get some frozen chopped spinach ?

thats cool i love otos there so cute and adorable my friend has some and they are very happy fish very active she loves them . well good luck with them
