i love my jullis....1mm rocks...isnt that closer to sand???i dont think it matters to much with corys as long as its smooth and wont hurt their barbles...i have stones close to .25", and about an inch deep, the cories like it.

You need more Gravel if you are going to plant the tank.
Get 6/8 Jullis, they are great & full of entertainment.
For Tetra's, get some Rummynose.

Peter, I would definitely go with either the jullii or panda (they're my favorite two cories). Like jasonpisani said, you might want to consider just a little more gravel, and rummynose would be a nice choice. Rams are awesome, too. Sounds like you're going to put a nice tank together. What types of plants are you thinking about?

Either cory would be nice. Choose the species of cory that attract you the most, and what is available at your lfs if you don't want to ship.

Thanks guys, yea iam really excited about the tank...i heard gret things about both kinds of cories. The julies attract me most and i think iam going to go with the as well because i have heard great deals of trouble with the pandas. Yea iam also excited about the rams as well. They are cute and beautiful little fellas and are great. The whole plant thing i havent quite got down yet. I am definatley going have it be a planted tank and iam not sure what the plan is yet. Iam glad that i have time to think this through because i need it. I plan on getting many diffrent species of anubias and maybe some banana's as well. I know that the rams like the plants and i want my tetras to be happy. As far as the cories ( probably julies ) i think that iam going to make a few DIY caves and some nice homelike plant bunches. I think iam gonna have a great tank...
