Ok Guys,Ideas On Adding A Bottom Feeder | |
HOKESE Mega Fish Posts: 1105 Kudos: 478 Votes: 271 Registered: 22-Feb-2003 | hey guys,after reading about heaps of cool bottom feeders,ive decided to get 1,to put into my mixed cichlid tank for now,and then when its get bigger i can move it to 1 of my larger tanks,i was guna put it into my 55gal,in it theres a green terror,blue acara,green sev,salvini,3 cons,i was just after something to clean up after these guys,now ive had plenty of bns,and plecos(gold nugget ect ect)so im after something that i can get in aussie land,and something i havent had(eg plecs and bn,sae,all sorts of small sucking catfish),so can some1 recomend a good botomfeeder.the cichlids in this tank(55gal)are all well behaved,so aggresion isnt really a problem for the bf |

He was shy and really liked hiding during the day, but he was very active during the night. Also, he was protected just in case anyone decided to get aggressive. You never know when that will happen with cichlids, so I would recommend one. |

I've had great luck with raphaels, the only trouble with them is that to watch them doing anything but sitting in one place, you need to look at your tank in the middle of the night with a flashlight. or have that crazy moonlight lighting. proud father of a bunch of baby haps. http://picasaweb.google.com/Sktchy/BABIES |

L-204 goes for more; 5-600, and royals, since they are usually only available as juveniles, about 500 as well. |

Mez_again Small Fry Posts: 8 Kudos: 4 Votes: 0 Registered: 29-Dec-2006 | i dont really have any imput to this topic, i just wanted to say i saw a mother of snails catfish in the lfs today and it was very impressive. bout 3.5ft feet long, and thick too. Your flowerhorn will only tolerate anything if the tank is big enough. James |
