I am pretty sure they are fine (and they do move around once in a while except for my largest one?) maybe they are just lazy? Anyways it's a ten gallon tank with three juliis and my betta Swimmi (they all get along fine) so am I worrying over nothing? They were also like that at the petstore too. . . |

At least the ones I had were fairly sedentary, and I gather that other people here who have kept them have noticed the same tendency in their specimens. Mind you, 3 in a 10 gallon are likely to be sedentary because strictly speaking, you should get a group of 6 and put them in larger quarters. Even if you're scrupulous with water changes, keeping nitrate levels relatively low in that volume of water takes more effort than doing so in a larger volume. Plus you'll need to gravel vac more often, because even supposedly 'sedentary' Corys eat a fair amount of food, and in consequence expel a fair amount of dung at the other in relation to body size. In a 10 gallon, you're looking at a decent water change and gravel vac operation at least once a week, and preferably more frequently to ensure that the reason they're not sedentary is because they're sitting in their own gunk. Any Cory will become listless and lacklustre if it has to do that too often. |

They have the black on their top fin so I can tell them apart. I catch them swimming up to the top sometimes at night. But other than that...they are far less active than my pandas. |

I'd defy even the most lacklustre triline or sodalis to mope around in a desultory fashion in that setup. Not with 40 of their own kind present in total, and around 80 Pandas zipping around like hyperactive lemmings spawning twice per week |

Ever since then all of my corrys have been inactive most of the time except at night and a little active at feeding time. I think that the trilines are just not very active and have affected my Panda who used to be very outgoing. I'm thinking of getting rid of the trilines and adding more Pandas. It's too bad, but I do miss active corrys |
