![]() | Oto fins |
Satinandtat![]() Hobbyist Posts: 54 Votes: 0 Registered: 11-Aug-2005 | I've had three otos for several weeks. One is fairly large and is usually out on his own. The other two are a bit smaller and stick together most of the time. Anyhow, the large one always has his dorsal fin erect, while the other two keep their dorsal fins clamped. Which way is the normal position? Am I just worrying too much? |

As for the fins I have noticed that sometimes they are up and others they are down. No real pattern that I have picked up on. 19G Container Pond [IMG]http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y118/Wingsdlc/Ric |

The only time mine have theirs erect is when they are swimming. When the are sucking algae they have their fin down most of the time. ![]() |
