Hello all, i would just like to give an update on my tanks to anyone that would like to hear and a question. 2 weeks ago, one of the LFS unexpectidely started carrying medicated fish food. My clown loaches are half way through their treatment and are showing signs of recovering already.
1 week ago, my dad gave me 5 otocinclus affinis(i believe). They are all living and healthy. The biggest one is about 1&3/4 in. and the smallest is about 1&1/4 in. Now that they have eaten up almost all of the algae, i have to find another food source. I would just like to know what you all feed yours. Cucumber, lettuce and algae wafers are on hand in my house.

Otocinclus affins is an uncommon find. I believe what you're actually seeing is O. vittatus. Don;t bother with lettuce--it is shockingly low in nutritional value. Feed with bloodworm, kale, spinach, potatoes, spirulina, and zuchinni.

You're right, they're O. vittatus. You didn't mention cucumber, is it alright?
