Today my baby panda is 25 days old! He is growing alot and within the next few weeks will be joining his parents and relatives in the main tank. His barbels are nice and long and he has the distinct panda stripe across his eye. I would say he is about a centimeter and a half long...lol. He has a nice fat belly and is really fast. Just thought I would let you all know how the little guys is doing. Hopefully soon I will be telling you all about how he is digging around in the Eco- Complete in the main tank!

Thats good to hear, mine is now frolicking with his parents on their foraging missions, i'd say he is about 2 cm and he has great color plus a massive sail of a dorsal fin. I haven't found any other babies though

Has he passed through the 'pepper dots' stage yet?

Strictly speaking if a baby Panda is around 10-12 mm long and showing signs of being in excellent health, then provided his parents aren't sharing their home with anything too boisterous, he could go in with them at that size.

Around 6 weeks of age or so, the parts of the body that are nicely pinkish-orange in the adult acquire a sprinkling of black 'pepper dots' - like the one in this photo below that should be familiar to anyone who's browsed my MSN photo album

Yes, Cali that is exactly my fry looks he is a little cutie at abou8t 12-13 mm long.

Well unfortunately my fry has come down with a bacterial/fungal infection on his anal and pelvic fins along with 2 of my other young cories. I have started treatment for him and hopefully in a few days he will start to look better

My fry will be nine weeks old on Tuesday. He is recovering very very very well. He is keeping his belly full and resting alot. I am hoping he will be completly recovered in the next few weeks. He has also grown a little while being in QT and has statred to have peppery markings like Cali told about above. Thanks to all who have helped!
