Hey ya'll
So i just got home from vacation yesterday, and sadly i lost 3 of my panda's I'm not sure what they died of, and my roomate failed to notice them floating on the top, so by the time i got home it was impossible to tell.

Anyways,
They all appear to be fine now apart from one, he/she keeps swimming around the middle/top of the tank and runing into things/ He is swimming fine, just seems to be kind of weak, or searching for something! I'm kinda new to pandas so I wasnt sure if this was a sympton of a disease or just pandas being silly? Any ideas? Should i post this in the hospital too?

P.S. I did a partial water change today, the same as i always do.
Sam

I usually have bubbles after my water changes, and we decided this was normal. but i think i saw a few bubbles sticking to my little panda earlier today, are these ok too?

He is probably looking for other pandas since they should be kept in schools of 6 or more. As soon as you are sure your tank is healthy i would get more pandas.

Pandas are some of the more delicate cories, and all cories are e to dying from mysterious causes. I've had it happen to a shoal of my polystictus cories, who died over a couple of months. It might have just been one of those things where the fish got some internal bug and perished without outward signs. Just be vigilant with tank maintenance, so that you know you're doing all that you can to prevent more deaths.

The panda that is swimming towards the top may be on its way out, as well. I've noticed that sick Corydoras tend to swim near the top of the tank, gulp air from the surface continually, and bang into things with their heads. This behavior is usually a symptom of poor health in cories, I'm sorry to say.

Air bubbles are usually okay, though I think I've heard somewhere that bubbles sticking to a fish cause problems. I don't remember what it was, though.

And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."

I'm sorry for the loss of your Panda's. The best thing is to do water changes & have the water as clean as possible. Hopefully the others will survive & when you are sure that they are all fine, you can add some more.
