They are possibly the coolest fishies on the planet...

If you get them make sure they have hiding places and make sure you get them in a school of 5+, they dont like being alone!

Panda Corydoras are very beautiful, get a small school of 6 & feed them some frozen food. They might be delicate at first, but you'll enjoy them in the near future.

VERY CUTE!!! I have 3 at the moment and they do enjoy company. Fairly hardy in my opinion. They also stay small, about 1 1/2 inches, so are compatible in smaller tanks.

I think they are very worth it to get. They scavenge extremely well but love frozen foods. I also feed sinking wafers which they seem to eat.

Pity you're 5000 miles away RasboraMary ... you'd probably be an enthusiastic customer for my latest batch of fry

Well, as you now know, I have two more! Precious little babies, really. I am looking for more tonight and I hope I find them. I cannot believe my little darlings made babies and I had no idea :%)

RM, if you missed the spawning, you missed a spectacle - Pandas are acrobatic spawners, often adopting the "t" position in midwater, and sometimes so energetically that they somersault!

Keep an eye out for them and watch for frantic swimming up the glass, followed by a large female seemingly being mauled by a "rugby scrum" of males. Spawning tends to follow pretty shortly after that. And, if you want to encourage this, feed them a big banquet of live Bloodworm an hour after a major water change and gravel vac. Spawning should follow pretty soon afterwards - in the case of my Pandas, spawning can take place as little as 40 minutes after a water change and live food banquet!
