Wrong forum to post in, but, depending on it's size you need to try various frozen meats other than bloodworms. Also, these guys are mainly notcurnal. I've had a beautiful one for a while and NEVER see him/her eat, but he/she is never thin and always active at night. Find an LFS that has a freezer with different kinds of frozen meats, alot of them sell variety packs. I've had all kinds of Dottyback/Spiney eels for a long time and all I feed them is live ghost shrimp and various frozen meats and everyone is healthy and active.

This isn`t wrong forum, eels are bottom dwellers as much as Corys are. You could maybe think of putting it in oddities b ut how many people actually check oddities?!?!

Feed after lights are out and try various meaty foods like bloodworm, worms (wash them in milk first and then drop them in, if not eaten within 1 hour remove), brine shrimp and avrious other frozen meaty foods. He is bound to eat one of them and also if he don`t check the water and make sure everything is ok.

Yes, they do feed on the bottom, but that is not the only place they feed. Which is why I do not consider them bottom feeders. Mine all feed anywhere they can find food! And my LIVE food doesn't exactly sit at the bottom .

I have found that nearly all species of spiny eels enjoy frozen krill a lot. The krill are about 1" in size, so you may have to break them up if the eels are small.

They are good food if you are trying to hand-tame your eels, because they are easy to hold and the eels absolutely love them.

"They package brine shrimp and sell them to kids? That's not right, man!"

I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash.
