Is it possible for Peppered Corydoras to breed when they are less than 5 months old?. Thanks alot in advance. http://www.flickr.com/photos/corydoras/ Member of the Malta Aquarist Society - 1970. http://www.maltaaquarist.com |

The question here is this: are the Corydoras fry the ONLY fishes in the aquarium? If so, then the eggs cannot derive frm any other source, and they have answered your question for you! Incidentally, this proves my point about taking meticulous notes when breeding fishes - not only does referral to such notes provide valuable clues when you get it wrong, and allows you to correct the errors in your early attempts, but when you get it comprehensively right as well, those notes allow you to determine what you got right! I'd say that you've done a LOT of things right here if [1] you successfully raised a decent batch of fry to 130 days old, and [2] they're starting to spawn themselves! Trouble is, unless you took lots of notes, you'll be scratching your head as to what you did that contributed to your spectacular success! ![]() Meanwhile, hats off to you if you do indeed have a third generation of Peppered Corys on the way! ![]() |

Unfortunatly the Angel ate the eggs as soon as i noticed them, but again i found eaten eggs today. There is still the round mark on the tank glass. I fed the fry BrineShrimp for the first month & them started with Nishikoi sinking & growth food pellets. Lately i'm also feeding them granules & Tropical spirulina. Thanks alot for your help & best regards from sunny Malta. http://www.flickr.com/photos/corydoras/ Member of the Malta Aquarist Society - 1970. http://www.maltaaquarist.com |
