They are great fish, lots of personality, but they are eating my plants. I have two swords, two java ferns, two cryptos and an anubias. The only one they don't eat is the anubias. Because they are eating all my plants, the tank (10g and please don't hound me about the size of tank vs. size of fish, they only grow to 3 1/2 inches) is getting very dirty with dying foliage. The filter (a biowheel) isn't handling the mess well and I have to change the filter once a week in addition to my water changes (I do these religiously and use a gravel vacuum). Should I just eliminate all the plants or are there others they will not eat? Though I like my anubias, I really don't want a tank full of it. Thanks for your input... |
