Heya's

I have a common pleco and he/she is about 25 cms in length! I recently took out "it's" favourite hiding sopt which was a ship wreck..how it gets in there is a totally different story...Anyways it only use to come out at night but it use to wake me up all the time..so i thought that's it...the ships coming out. I took the ship out and it's new hang out is under a piece of driftwood...however ever since i took out hte ship wreck it doesn't feed along the ground anymore... it swims upside down along the top of the water and sucks up all the flakes, bloodworm anything that i put in there!

Can anyone tell me why it feeds like this now? but not earlier??

Its probably just learned how to get food easier. What would you rather do. Search a 3 mile forest for food or go to mcdonalds.

Well.. maccas for sure..but it just seems so strange y didn't it feed like it does now? even with the shipwreck in there?? just wierd i guess!

Do you have an air pump, because if you don't I suggest you get on. When my air pump of at night the plecs in my tank hang around the surface with their snouts poking out of the water.

i use to havea large airstone but even with that on...(otehr side of tank) it still stayed in she ship! that's y i'm so puzzled lol

it is probsbly mad at you for taking its home away.

Wouldnt yuou be disturbed if someone just lifted your house away while you were sitting in it?
