I was in the old LFS this weekend and I seen a pleco that almost looked like a golden nugget pleco but with baby blue (also quite bright) dots and stripes. Would anyone know what this Pleco is called, and any basic info??

I don't even know, It could be dyed I hope not, It was quite a nice fish.

If anyone could help it would be great.

Thanks
Angel Eel

The only fish I can think of that looks remotely like that is L128. Plecs are pretty hard to dye because they're plated. Also, albino species (which are ususally the variations of fish that are dyed as they have a light colored background) usually are devoid of all the standard "plecostomus" markings.

Check out Blue Phantom on Planet Catfish. It is one of the few blue fish with dots on them I can think of

That's what I just said . Also, PC doesn't label them as blue phantoms, for some odd reason. They need to update their profiles.

As did I. They are some of my favorite loricariids...too bad no one can breed them.

They retain their color throughout life. I suggest, if you have the money, to get that one; they are peaceful, long lived fish, and will delight you for years to come.
