Hello,
Is it possible to keep a small pleco in a 10 gallon tank with 4 dwarf puffers?If so what kind?

Putting anything with puffers is risky because they have teeth and are so nippy. If you want to take the risk, you could probably put a clown plec in there. However, they do not eat algae. Other than that, I wouldn't try any other species. They just get a little too big for a 10g.

If you're looking for alagae eating fish, try otos. They're not the hardyest fish, but they are effective. 3 or 4 in a 10g should be plenty. But again, you'd be taking a risk with those nippy puffs.

I agree with the suggestion of otos. They like to have company, three would be nice in a 10g. They're also one of the few fish dwarf puffers won't bother.

I wouldnt try ottos as they are very sensative and would probably get nip to by your puffers. I would recommend a bulldog plec or something of the like.

Anything that doesn't draw attention to itself is good. Parotoclinus and otoclinus are your best choices.
