I dont know why but my pleco wont eat anymore after i had moved it to my bigger tank for him. I left lettuce and cucumbers for him but he wont eat it.
The water conditions are right, tho the PH is quite high, but the thing is i have neons doing quite well in their new tank.

Help

what is the pH of the tank he is in?
what was the pH of the tank he WAS in?
how long hasnt he been eating for?

a large and quick change in pH can be fatal to fish. besides not eating does the fish look ok? (behaviour, colouring etc.)

Well the PH in my smaller tank is 6.5
and the one in the new tank is 7.5

The thing is i moved my (10)neons at the same time from the same tank..and they seem to be doing just fine.

My pleco has gone to a sorta brownish yellow-im a bit worried because its gotten thinner too.

and he hasnt eaten for a couple of days-close to one week now

Did you acclimate him slowly? I bet if he was rushed he probably got very stressed out due to a sudden pH change, plus the fact he's in a totally different tank can stress him a little too. He might be snacking on other things around the tank, its amazing how long some plecs can live without being fed anything other than what goes in for the other shishies. Did you blanch his veggies? I'd give him a couple more days before I got REAL worried. What kind of plec is it anyway? A common?
