I have a 10 gallon with 2 ottos and a 55 gallon with a pleco. I have one question. After they eat all of the algae in the tank what should I feed them? I heard they eat zucchini, is that right? Thanks for everyone's suggestions!!!

Algae or veggie wafers. Zucchini, cucumber, lettuce...mine really like broccoli.

Most green vegetables are good foods for algae eaters, and sinking algae wafers are good as well. I like to feed my bristlenose zucchini, he will gobble up a piece of it in one night. Algae wafers help to provide a good bit of all around nutrition, as they have extra ingredients besides just algae.

And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."

both fish eat algae, but not exclusively. even with an abundance of algae in your tank, i would still supplement their diets with veggies, pellets, wafers, and such. variety is the spice of life.
