![]() | Pregnant Kuhli? |
lowlight![]() Enthusiast Posts: 166 Kudos: 94 Registered: 03-Apr-2005 ![]() ![]() ![]() | I was doing a deep gravel vac since I am rearanging some things and when I lifted the rock the kuhlis live under I noticed one was considerably larger than the other two. I thought one might have died since I've only seen two in the past month, glad I was wrong. Does anyone know what a pregnant kuhli looks like? |

But if she is looking like pineconish I wouldn't think so ![]() "I've got a great ambition to die of exhaustion rather than boredom." Thomas Carlyle |

She/he gets wider from the head back and the tale from the anal fin is small. Don't know maybe I'll just watch and see. P.S. what scales? Last edited by lowlight at 20-Apr-2005 00:26 |

The eggs are bright green, so you'd know if one of them laid eggs. The water parameters would have to be near to what kuhlis are used to in the wild though, with soft, acidic water. ![]() ![]() I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash. |

It is more likely that one of them is just eating more than the other, and therefore you have varying sizes between individual fish. ![]() ![]() I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash. |

I did see something that looked like the eggs under some driftwood where they hang out, not there any more though I do have 6 corys. I will have to keep an eye out to see if there's any more and isolate them. I do have a 20gal with a dozen white clouds and a guppy. Last edited by lowlight at 24-Apr-2005 03:22 |
