Problems with plecos | |
sugabeatz Hobbyist Posts: 83 Kudos: 77 Votes: 3 Registered: 12-Mar-2004 | I have a 75 gallon tank that is about 8 months old. It is an upgrade from my 30 gallon. I was able to use the gravel and some water from the 30 when I switched over. The tank was established quickly. I first got a rubber lip pleco about 3 months ago. He died after about 5 days. I got a bristlenose pleco about 2 weeks ago, and he died after about a week and a half. I also had bought 4 ottos about 4 months ago and they all died by the month mark. I was supplementing the diet with algae waffers almost every night that I had them. Why would I be having so many problems with algae eaters. I've decided no more and just bought some alage fix to try to keep the algae under control. If anyone has any suggestions, they would be appreciated. |

As for the oto's I have heard they can die quickly if not acclimated properly.I have never had problems myself but its a possibility. mts.gif" border="0"> I vote do you? My Tanks at Photobucket |
