I lost a Bronze Cory yesterday -- poor thing was just lying on his/her side in the front corner of the tank. I have no idea why, as they are all healthy looking. I did have a problem with a cory 3days earlier where 1 of them was stuck in a hole in my Lava Rock. I managed to free it and it could have been this cory -- although after that little drama they all looked fine. I love corys and is always sad when 1 passes on

I'm sorry to hear of your loss:#(it is possible that it was this corry, and maybe it was internal so it didn't appear to be any problem at the time...keep an eye out on the rest just in case...again sorryheidi

I agree, it likely was the same one that got stuck. Possibly internal injuries or something you just didn't see. I had the same thing happen to a betta girl... she got caught in some java moss ( don't ask me HOW) and even though I was treating her and pampering her, she died a couple days later.

Sorry to hear about your cory... gotta love the big goofballs.

Sorry about your loss.

I found one of my Hastatus dead yesterday too.
He was stuck on the opening of the Aquaclear filter intake tube. Not sure what he was doing there in the first place, maybe trying to escape like Nemo?

yeah it was probably the same cory that was stuck.

I had a juvenile electric yellow jump out of my tank when i was doing a water change, i saw it on the ground and put it back in the tank. It seemed fine but then a couple days later it died.

Yes, it could have been the same Corydoras that got stuck. Just keep an eye on them.

Thanks for the comments.

I rearranged the rock so that the holes are facing down now... He was only in there for a few minutes, maybe head injuries? Just seems weird how he was fine and then a few days later he was gone...

The others all seem fine so far.
