Are rainbow sharks known to be nocturnal?

Yes, they are nocturnal fish , but they are quite active in the day. I feed mine after the lights are out

I have three rainbow sharks and I think they sleep during the day for me anyway. Mine gets up in the plant, head down, and stays there. Since I wanted something to clean the gravel a bit, I got three chinese algea eaters. They are like lawn mowers in a large field, constantly at it. They seem very active andmy gravel is cleaner.

I do put a bit of the algea tablets in there on occassion just to make sure they are not hungry.

Maybe I need to put some uppers in my tank for them to stay awake a while. They are alive though. They move around every once in a while. Change positions mostly.
