You could keep a trio of them in a 46g. Angelica botias (Botia Kubotai) are a fantastic choice for your 29g tank. These are smaller slimmer loaches of about 3 inches in length and are very peaceful. There is a pic in the profile of them which is my fish. Again they like to be kept in groups of 3 or more.
