I bought 3 Siamese Flying Foxes due to our algae problem. The other was just a one off and I know it is bad to walk in and come out with fish you know nothing about but I could not resist. It is a species of Spiny Eel. Ok, I know about Peacock Eels as I have a Half Banded Peacock Eel but it looks so beautiful (the new one that is). It has some circles on the tail, I presume for confusing predators as to which end is the head and tail, and it doesn`t seem to settle down on the gravel, prefers to swim mid-level. It has multiple horizontal lines of different widths and then on the tail, the fins are orange in colour, not bright orange but still, it is obvious to notice the orange. I would just like to know more about excactly what species of Spiny eel it is please. Thanks

are you able to get a pic of it perky? sounds like an interesting spiny eel I'm pretty sure most spiny eels are about the same in the care area though, so you shouldn't have any problems
