	Some questions....
Inkling Fish Addict Posts: 689 Kudos: 498 Votes: 11 Registered: 07-Dec-2005	Okay I have two questions: 1) I have an un-IDed chichlid, possibly an african chichlid or something that sounded like "Mobo" Would Panda Cories be able to stay happy in a tank with it? The fish is about 1/2 of an inch (If he gets to big I can find him another home) 2) This is a silly question but its one Im curious about: What do the L's stand for when identifying Plecos. (ie L144 Something-or-other, L120 Something-or-other)? Just curious Inky

Janna Mega Fish Posts: 1386 Registered: 24-Aug-2003	Well, if the cichlid is indeed from Africa, it would probably like hard water and a high pH. Panda cories are from South America and would prefer lower hardness and pH. Also, african cichlids can be aggressive, which the cories wouldn't appreciate. The L stands for Loricariidae, I believe, which is the family that plecos belong to. Similarly, there are C-numbers for cories. They shade the glow of it with their mossy-misty costumes, They wear masks of silk, porcelain, brass, and silver, So as not to mislead with their own, ordinary faces.
