i don't think there will be any room for a syno. if you had a bigger tank i would recomend a featherfin syno.

I don't think you should have anything other than the jag in there, lest it be ripped to shreds. As I'm sure you know, when he starts you grow, you'll need a MUCH bigger aquarium.

ah ha CFD, well buy even bigger tank of whatever is needed and then get something like a Featherfin or something which gets big and can defend itself, maybe even something like a Giraffe Catfish?
