![]() | Too many bottom feeders? |
Satinandtat![]() Hobbyist Posts: 54 Votes: 0 Registered: 11-Aug-2005 | How many bottom feeders is too many for a 29 gallon tank? Currently it contains 8 pristella tetras 5 peppered corydoras 3 ottos I got the ottos last week and bought the three remaining ones in the store. I had wanted more, and they told me that they were getting more in next week. I went back yesterday and found that they not only had more ottos, they had clown plecos too. Would it be too much to add a clown pleco to that tank, either with several more ottos or just the three? |

Otocinclus spend their time all over their environment and don't hang around the bottom much. Even if you do count the ottos, you aren't overstocked with catfish. I have eighteen cats in my twenty-nine gallon tank, and I think there are one or two folks around here that have more. Just remember that if you get a clown pleco, you'll want to have some driftwood for it to munch on. |

You can also add 1 more Corydoras to make them a school of 6. Don't forget the Driftwood for your Clown. ![]() http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/s8xi5heh/my_photos http://www.geocities.com/s8xi5heh/classic_blue.html http://groups.yahoo.com/group/buzaqq/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/corydoras/ Member of the Malta Aquarist Society - 1970. http://www.maltaaquarist.com |
