Upsidedown Catfish wont eat? | |
itsjustme1966 Hobbyist Posts: 94 Kudos: 36 Votes: 1 Registered: 18-Mar-2008 | hello, My upsidedown catfish has stopped eating, seems I can get him to eat anything, Ive tryed just about all I can get at the LFS.. water par are fine.. is the temp to high or too cold for him?.. think Im sitting at 79, hes got lots of room, Ive other fish in the tank..a few Danios, tetras (neons,) rummynoses, bumblebee cats.. hes about 6 yrs old?.. is it his time?.. Naaaa.. hes very healthy and ive never had a problem with fish in this tank.. other than losing a few fish to shock apon introducing them..well thats what i figure it was, you know buy 6 tetras lose one a day or two later.. no biggy.. any suggestions?.. bloodworms should be his food choice and tubifex worms he was LOVING for the longest time.. help..!!!! |

donovan Fingerling Posts: 38 Kudos: 26 Votes: 143 Registered: 06-Nov-2007 | I had one for a long time and only seen it eat one time at one point I thought I squished it when I put a large drift wood in my tank I didn't see it for 3 months 6years is about the life span of one might try some frozen mysis shrimp most of my bottom feeders love them does it have alot of cover they love to hide? |

He is the coolest fish ive had.. dont know the scientific name but hes one of the biggest ones you can get.. and I was told he would not get much bigger than an inch.. good thing I had a bigger tank. He grew fast too. He was housed before with Silver dollars and I would stick tubifex worms to the tank and he loved them.. bout' a yr or so ago.. silvers I gave away.. 4 pieces of driftwood lots of places for him.. 55 gal bought some sinking tablets for bottom feeders, hope he likes them.. would live shrimp be ok?.. i have a tank in the store with lots?.. I work/sup at a pet store.. thanks for the reply.. will try frozen too.. |
