Only there's quite a choice. Two I can name off the top of my head are Clarias batrachus (the one that acquired the bad reputation in Florida) and Clarias angolensis. Both get big. An adult batrachus is supposed to reach 40 inches according to Planet Catfish, with different sources usually citing a smaller maximum SL. However, back in the 1970's, there were tabloid newspaper reports alleging that escaped specimens in Florida grew to 5 feet and were eating such unlikely food items as Pekingese dogs ![]() You'll never be bored with it, that's for certain ![]() ![]() |
