Hi. I've just acquired the job of maintaining 2 10 gal. goldfish tanks. In one are 8 tiny baby goldfish and a catfish about 8" long. It looks like an eel with whiskers. It burrows under the gravel and stirs up all the debris. It also ate one of the babies. I told the lady she had to get it out of the tank, as it's much too large and agressive to be with the fry. Can it go in a pond and winter over? What can I do with it? My LFS isn't good about taking fish and The tank is so dirty I wouldn't want to introduce it into another tank. Thanks

Can you post a picture? Its hard to guess what it is. A picture would help us ID it for you and we could tell you if it could go in a pond.

You can put the pictures in a site like photobucket.com and then paste the URL on here.

I'm going in town tomorrow to work on the tanks. I'll try to get a decent photo of it. Thanks for the response.
