I have a BGK that I acquired when he was about 3". Now he is approx. 8". I am wondering if there is something else I can feed him besides the live bloodworms I feed him now. It seems it just isn't enough anymore. He recently started going after my neon tetras. Can I feed him beef heart or some other feed that he might take a liking to?

Thanks.

BGKs will eat almost anything you put in front of them including frozen bloodworm, frozen and live brine shrimp, earthworms, spirulina wafers, shrimp pellets, flake foods, tubifex worms and protein pellets. That's just naming a few
You may have to try several of those to find what your BGK likes and some times their tastes change as they get older too so keep varying the diet to keep him/her interested

Mine scarfs on flakes, frozen bloodworms, and frozen brine shrimp. You can also look into other frozen foods for variation from time to time. Also might want to give your neons a quickie lesson on why they might want to avoid the giant fish that hides most of the day...

PM/email/msg me if you have any questions/comments regarding me or my knowledge or if you want me to read a thread.
