	What to feed gold nugget?
victimizati0n Banned Posts: 1217 Kudos: 1105 Votes: 31 Registered: 29-Apr-2004	Hello everyone, I just got a gold nugget pleco lastnight, i know they arent algae eaters (right?) I have heard they were, and i have heard they wernt, mine seems to hang on the glass sometimes, but mostly the rocks and gravel (probably to get leftover food) I put a shrimp pellet in the tank, but im not sure if he got to it, or my corys did. I was doing some research, and i didnt really see anything about feeding them, so any help is appriciated! Thanks!!

I tried to feed my YoYo's them, and after i stuck the cube to the glass, it just floated back up again. I do have real tubifex worms that i breed, but they just sink to the bottom, and nothing eats them.

Ive gotten shrimp pellets and frozen blood worms to the bottom of the tank near him and am yet to see him eat them. He looks very healthy Im assuming hes feeding on the large piece of swahlla wood that hes hiding under. My question is can you put one in a discus tank Junes link recomended it but two of my lfs said no way too aggresive?

mimo Hobbyist Posts: 50 Kudos: 54 Votes: 5 Registered: 16-Aug-2004	I just feed my comunity tank again and snuck a few shrimp pellets down to the bottom about 2 in. from where he is hiding. he didnt budge 15 mins later all of my community fish found the pellets again broke them up and ate them. You should feed them at night though so This was not the ideal condition for my experiment. If I find something that works for me Ill let you know. I may try frozen beef heart tonight after Lights out. Interesting about the discus.
