I think Sailfins will eat Zuccini and blanched lettuce and maybe cucumber. I think they also like algae wafers. I am not sure if they will eat meaty foods, but I think htey do.

Mine is constantly cleaning and eating that way. The only thing I've actually seen it eat are bottom feeder wafers.

My plecos eat most anything that enter the tank...

Most any blanched vegetables, frozen blood worms, tubifex worms, shrimp pellets, Hikari Algae Wafers...whatever your fish eat, they will eatI've even been known to be able to have one flip on its back and let me rub his belly while he ate fish flakesbut he was kind of strange...

Small fish? Maybe if they were fry, or very sick, or dead, but I couldn't see a clumsy sailfin pleco catch up to and eat a neon tetra. Even while resting at night, fish are able to respond to environmental stimulation. Many plecos will happily feed on fish carcasses, but live fish are not usually on the menu.

I have 2 Marbeled Sailfin pleco's and they seem to love eating the bloodworm that is supposed to be for my black ghost knife fish, as well as algae wafers.[/font]
