chris1017![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Fish Addict Posts: 610 Kudos: 421 Votes: 70 Registered: 09-Sep-2003 ![]() ![]() ![]() | are your fish mbuna, because if they are they enjoy grazing on the algae, so just wipe it off the front of the glass everyone once in awhile but leave the sides and back covered. if not than i can only suggest what i did, i bought a rubbernose pleco, only because i like plecos, and put it in my 30usg with my 6 yellow labs and they dont bother it at all, in fact they pleco and labs actually touch eachother sometimes and nothing happens. somtimes when i feed algae waffers the labs go after them but the pleco just swims over and pushes the labs out of the way. its kind of funny to watch. chris |

You can probably leave it their, it makes it look more natural. I think Synodontis njassae eats a bit of algae, that a catfish native to there. |

Which means I would not subject Bristlenoses (which are Amazonian fishes that like soft, slightly acidic water) to the conditions in an Mbuna aquarium.
