Khuli loaches? I have looked everywhere, my three lfs and aquariumfish.net and liveaquaria.com and fish2u.com and I can't seem to find them anywhere, I don't mind ordering them online, but where? Thanks a bunch

Also I live in Minnesota, think that might be the problem lol?

Fish2u has two types of kuhli loaches on this page, almost halfway down. Given more time, I can probably find a couple of other online shops with these loaches.

Have you tried asking your local stores if they will order some in for you? Oftentimes a shop will be willing to help, especially if you plan to buy enough of the fish.

thanks! I looked all over that site too. . .lol I feel really smart right about now Um do you know if there is a minimum ordering amount? Like can I just buy two or three khuli loaches or do I have to buy a minimum of like twenty bucks?

Also I had planned to ask Petco that a few days ago, but I forgot when I bought my guppy

www.aquabid.com Usually has them, and a lot of other things you won't find in your LFS and websites. Good thing about that is there's no minimum order and such.

PetSolutions.com normally carries them, you can sign up to be emailed when they are back in stock.

I've never purchased from this site but Shark Aquarium Online has them; look under the Community Fish list.

1 male betta
1 male guppy
2 harlequin rasboras
2 platies

and hoping to buy

2 khuli loaches and 1 bumble bee goby OR
2 khuli loaches OR
2 otos

Does anyone foresee any compatibilty issues I should be aware of? Would I be overstocked? Thanks

Be careful with the stocking. Overstocking could lead to a tank crash. I think with 2 platies and the Kuhlies you would be pretty stocked. Also, Harlies like to be in a bigger group...but adding more would not be good. If you really want all those fish, you may need to upgrade if possible. That's alot of fish IMO for a 10g.

I keep up with my water changes, and my water conditions are perfect

What about this then?

I return the two platies and get one more rasbora and a bumble bee goby? Then I will have:
3 harlequin rasboras
1 guppy
1 male betta
1 bumble bee catfish

I would do this:
4 harlequins
1 guppy
1 male betta
2/3 kuhlis

I would ditch whatever bumbleebee cat you were talking about, they are very cool but they need a bigger tank and depending on the species it could snack on your guppy. Go for a couple of innocent kulhis instead. Harliquins can be fussy with water conditions so keep them up with the good standards you have Also please don't flame me if that setup doesn't work because I know next to nothing about bettas

I went with this:

returned the harlequins and platies and now have:

1 male betta
2 male guppies
3 black khulies

Would like to add two or three more striped khuli loaches to finish the tank off. . .
