Hello All,

We'll my Pandas seem to have come out of their shyness brought on my the false-Jullis in the tank...at least enough to provide me with two very healty new babes.

In my second tank I was thinking of moving the false-Jullis but am now giving that some second thoughts.

How does the forum feel about these two types of corry?:

Corydoras arcuatus - My son just added 6 of these to his tank and I've been impressed with their activity/playfulness and spawing dances so soon after being introduced to the new tank.

The other corry I'm considering is the Skunk Corry. I like their look and I like that the smaller corrys are playful.

Any advice on which I should get for my second tank? The second tank is now occupied by regular and Golden White Clouds (total of 8)

Thanks

Eric

Arcies and skunks are the same species, last I checked. In any case, they are very lively and incredibly striking. I'm sure they'd love it in your aquarium.

Yep, Corydoras arcuatus is the skunk cory. The only other species which *might* be sold as a "Skunk Corydoras" is C. narcissus, but this is easy to tell apart as it is a longnosed species. I find that C. arcuatus is a pretty active species when kept in good water conditions, they're neat little fish.

And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."

That was my human error. The other corry is aeneus, but that's the Green Corry and they get too big for my tank. It's interesting that the younger ones my son got don't look like other Green Corrys I've seen. I think I'll go with the Skunks

Thanks

Eric

What size of a tank do you ahve that you can house arcs but not aeneus?

As the range of c. aeneus is absolutely HUGE, distinct varieties number in the two-digits, not to mention a handful of color variations that are believed to not even be part of the species.

The Corydoras arcuatus are lovely & really nice. I have 11 in my tank & they shoal together all the time. I suggest that you get some aswell.
