Hi all. just lettin ya know I finally got a pair of small yo-yos. After months of searching. The tanks at this lfs weren't the cleanest or healthiest I've ever seen, but ALL of the fish looked really good and not a floater in the place. I put them temporarily in the 10 gal tank with a pair of blue dwarf gouramis. They're getting along quite well. Just gonna leave them in there a few weeks on snail patrol and then move them over to the 29 gallon tank. Yhen to a 55 when I finally get it. just saw them hunt down and get a few snails, they're so cool.

Yoyo's eat snails & should keep them under control. They are quite active, but they also seem to hide alot. At least, that's what mine do.

They will definitely take care of snails for you. If you have the space available and can find them again I suggest adding two more. As with most loaches, yoyos are much more active in bigger groups.

Have fun, they're great fish
