Hi Guys,
I was just wondering, I keep seeing pics of peoples YOYO loaches, that have very distinctive YOYO written on their sides, and are very black and silvery white.
My YoYos dont have YOYO anymore - this disappeared when they reached 3 inches, and they are kinda pinkish with browny lines. They were sold to me as "Mini Rosetta Loaches". I have 3, 2 males and a female.
I will try to get a pic tonight for you guys to see.

Yoyos don't all come with the yoyo pattern. I've seen many pics of yoyos without it. Including [link=http://loaches.com/species_pages/botia_almorhae.html]http://loaches.com/species_pages/botia_almorhae.html" style="COLOR: #00C0C0[/link]

Yeah, it just depends on each individual/group of individuals. We get yoyos in at work every couple of months, some have the distinctive "yoyo" patterning, some don't. If they're being bred in fish farms, perhaps these "mini rosetta loaches" are the result of selective breeding.

Personally, I like the "yoyo" yoyo loaches best.

Until you posted this I hadn't noticed differences between them but mine don't exactly have YoYo either. I tried to get a quick picture but these guys are non-stop :%)

There's also a recent post in Photo Booth with some nice B&W shots of yoyos: http://www.fishprofiles.com/files/forums/Photo%20Booth/59321.html?200505110558

Yup, sometimes they spell yo-yo, sometimes they don't.

Also, I'm pretty sure that the yo-yo marking will disappear with age, and become more stripey and "disorganized" rather than a clear yo-yo spelling.

Back in the saddle!

Mine used to be with the YOYO logo, but now they are nearly 3 inches & the YOYO has gone & they look more brown & light pink.

Thanks guys, I was just starting to wonder whether mine were yoyo's or something else.
The "mini rosetta loach" thing is still throwing me off
