Well.. ive developed a bit of a snail problem in one of my tanks.. id like to use loaches to take care of the problem but dont have the space for the larger spcs. (like Clowns) was thinging yoyo, zebra, or kulli might do the trick.. does anyone know if these guys will activly hunt down snails.. also.. i have cherry and amano shrimp in this tank and dont want them to be muched.. would any of these fish be a problem with small shrimp.. the cherries are actually breading and some of the shrimp are pretty small.. quick with a ton of hidding spots... but still small

Any and all advise welcome

Thnks

I've had good luck with yoyos, queens, and dwarf loaches taking care of snails. But I'd be concerned about them eating the shrimp

Yo-Yos will hunt down the snails, but not while the shrimp and shrimp fry are in there. Those will be the first to go. It will be pretty much the same for any loach you buy.

One manual way to get rid of snails is to put regular lettuce on a small plate or in a cup on its side in the tank, The snails will come as fast as they can to eat it. Once there are quite a few on the plate/cup remove it and dispose of snails. Repeat, repeat, repeat. Your shrimp should be fast enough to get out of the way when you pull it out.
