I will be adding 3 zipper loaches to my 30 gallon tonight to combat a recently discovered snail infestation (I have been wanting to get some loaches anyway so this is a great excuse!). Is there anything unique or special I need to know about them before adding them to my tank?

Current inhabitants: 1 pleco, 1 powder blue dwarf guarami, 3 black neons, 6 sterbai corys, 1 leucomelas cory

All inhabitants will be moved to my 55 gallon tank as soon as the stand is finished and the tank is cycled (probably in the next 4-6 weeks).

Thanks in advance for any knowledge you care to share!

I looked up these loaches online for you, and I came up with some sites:

I bet these loaches would eventually prefer to be kept in a shoal of at least six, though. They do like company, just so you know...

just make sure that you are getting zipper loaches. there are some loaches called batik loaches that look similer, but they do not school and they are really aggresive towards each other and other bottom feeders. i learnt that the hard way

oh and what kind of pl*co?
