can anyone tell me what the eggs look like. If they look like actual little eggs or if they have something surrounding the eggs. thank you so much

They should look like... fish eggs.

As adults they are about three feet long, and probably won't breed until they're one foot long. Also, I do believe they dig a pit in the gravel to lay their eggs in, rather than just scattering them like many other fish do.

Basically, they're just small, round b.b.-sized things. I'm not sure as to the color, but most fish eggs are whitish, or at least light-colored.

the reason i ask is i was trying to put more gravel in my tank so i had to pick up a caslte that i have in there and under it was these white fuzzy lookin things. so i am not sure what it was. My one cat always hangs in there and now seems all wacho like she is lookin for somethin she lost.

That's interesting... How big are your cats?

If the eggs are fuzzy, they're probably fungused and should be discarded since they're not going to develop.
