My 75g has a gravel substrate, driftwood-some with java fern attached, a few Amazon swords for playing 'we dig 'em up & she replants 'em ha ha' , and some floating plants.

Fish inhabitants are giant danios, a snakeskin gourami, an angel, a blue acara, and 3 clown loaches.

So I'm now looking for some sort of algae eater...any suggestions would be appreciated

The best Algae eater for that tank, would be the bushynose (bristlenose) pleco. They will not harm any of the other fish, and they are great algae eaters. However, for any of the small leafed plants, you might also add some Ottos. These guys are great algae eaters as well, though due to their size, they need greater numbers to accomplish the same clean up as a full grown bushynose. But they will get to the smaller areas of the leaves, where as the bushynose is too large to do. They will not harm each other, and both can be added to your tank without worry.

In a tank this size would I be ok with 2 BNs? I'm not too concerned about the plants since they're essentially play things for the fish

I think you'd be fine with 2 bn in a 75. you could do any combination too, imo...ie. 2 males, male/female or 2 females. 2 males may squabble a little, but a 75 should allow them plenty of room to retreat to. just have lots of driftwood and hiding places for them.

BN's will do a great job with Algae & yes, you can have 2 in your tank. Just get them some Driftwood & some hiding places & they'll be fine.

Another thought...I have a BN and a RTBS algae team in another tank, the RTBS does a great job on the plants.

Would that combo work with the other fish in my 75g?

Now I really need to get off the computer...worked til 10am and I have to turn around & be in for 11pm tonight

It looks like u would more than alright with that combo, nothing in their slightly resembles a RTBS and a 75G is sufice for them, u adding as a baby? the only thing i could think of is that the angel (pending on size) has the tendency to pick on new commers, other than that it sounds like a beautiful tank
