Remember, cories are a schooling/shoaling fish. They should be kept in groups of at least 6. You'd do best to stick with the smaller species, like hasbrosus, hastatus, pygmaeus, and panda. As a side-note, are you aware that a school of cories will fill up that tank? You won't be able to add any middle-top dwelling fish. Cories are really entertaining and all, but some people can't deal with that kind of emptyness. They wear masks of silk, porcelain, brass, and silver, So as not to mislead with their own, ordinary faces. |

As stated, they need a shoal to be at their happiest, and six cories + the kuhlis will really be filling up that tank. Plus, pandas do indeed tend to be delicate. Not only are they not "true" dwarf cories (they're double the size of C. pygmaeus, C. hastatus, and C. habrosus), but they need pristine water to survive. You'll be hard-pressed to keep a ten gallon tank stable and clean, so I'd just forego the pandas. In fact, I wouldn't get any cories whatsoever. You just don't have the room along with those kuhlis. Perhaps get a small surface dwelling fish instead, such as a dwarf gourami? |

They like to hide during the day, and almost always come out only under cover of darkness unless they feel bold enough to dash out at dinnertime. They're really shy, and I doubt that you could add enough kuhlis to that tank for them to feel confident about leaving cover. Just so that your question is answered, I personally wouldn't stick more than four kuhlis in there. Ten gallon tanks don't offer much room for fish. |

Why don't you get a couple of Cherry Barbs?. http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/s8xi5heh/my_photos http://www.deathbydyeing.org/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/corydoras/ Member of the Malta Aquarist Society - 1970. http://www.maltaaquarist.com |

Small tanks are more difficult to keep balanced & i would keep it understocked. http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/s8xi5heh/my_photos http://www.deathbydyeing.org/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/corydoras/ Member of the Malta Aquarist Society - 1970. http://www.maltaaquarist.com |

I have three in a planted 75 gallon. And I'm constantly amazed at how fast they swim, and cover every square inch of the tank. It seems a ten gallon would be a little restrictive, IMHO. |
