[link=C. reticulatus is the only similar species, but I rule it out because your fish do not have the large blotch in the dorsal fin. |

They tend to be more rare than the other species commonly sold as "Agassizi Corys", Corydoras leucomelas and Corydoras delphax, so good find. I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash. |

You'd know if you were buying sterbai because [1] they have bright orange pectoral fins (the only other species I know of that shares this trait being haraldschultzi, whose body pattern is a 'reverse field' version of sterbai) and [2] you'd pay a king's ransom for sterbai. |

Corydoras gossei, C. seussi, C. isbrueckeri, and C. melanotaenia (sorta) also have orange pectoral fins. And for the record, C. gossei and C. seussi are two of the best looking species out there. |

The intake tube for one of my filter is in 2 parts and the bottom part of it fell off. He must have gotten too close and sucked in. ( I had previously seen one of them sitting on the intake grate munching on a piece of flake food so obviously that part of the tank was a favorite hangout). I came into the office yesterday am and discovered my filter making a horrendous noise. I took the filter apart and stuck my hand into where the impeller is and found what was left of him. ~ Mae West |
