my latest addition to my tank is a banjo catfish which i bought on tuesday, and it wasn't until last night (thursday) that i had my first sighting of it in my tank i fed my cories and candy stripe peckoltia some flakes after lights out, and after waiting REALLY still in front of the tank for 15minutes (my was hurtin by then~!) hahahah, the banjo finally ventured out carefully hahahhahaha it was so awesome its like seeing a baby take its first steps and it was good too, coz it stayed in the open for abt 1/2hr just gorging on any available flakes, and even snatching from cories and my striped loaches lol was so cute and then my candy plec joined the feeding frenzy, so i just added an extra tablet for it to munch on...lol and it chased away any cories or loaches attempting to steal its beloved meal from it~! lol....altho this thread doesn't involve any questions or concerns...i juzz thought i'd share it with everyone, after all, catfish nerds know whats it like to experience a rare sighting with catfishes

I hate guitarras. They're so adorable, yet they just never do anything. Mine are always out during the day--they just don't move.

Speaking of rare sightings, I haven't seen my Synodontis nigriventris in about two months.

2 months?? thought they were meant to be sociable fish that even venture out during the daytime, provided they have lotsa hidin places to vanish into in a flash whenever they see a big giant head outside their tank?

Yeah I've heard that they are supposed to be pretty bold fish, but mine isn't. Even when I had four of them they would still just hide all day unless I put some food in.

It's definitely not lack of hiding places, because with all the driftwood and plants I have in my tank, it is practically a maze of hiding places.

He comes out at night though, because I've seen him out swimming around when the lights were off.

Well, well, well... Look who I saw out in the open gorging on flakes today?

Time to start counting the months until I see him again...

EDIT: And I just noticed something really creepy about the picture - if you look at the cat's eye and then directly below it, you can see my snakeskin gourami hiding in the shadows.
