The only bottom feeder I was ever impressed with (in terms of excess bottom food cleanup and good community behavior) is the corydoras. I would recommend a small school of 10 corys. Any species of cory would do, but their social interaction is best seen when using a single specials (i.e. all Aneus, or all Julli, or all Trilineatus).

Get 12 Panda Corys. And prepare NEVER to need a television for entertainment ever again

Seriously, if my Pandas are anything to go by, you'll have a blast watching your aquarium become a fishy version of Lemmings once the Pandas are acclimatised. And if you look after them the way I do (see my big Panda article!) chances are you'll end up with a lot more than 12 Pandas to play with

I would also recommend a school of 6 Corydoras, but what other fish do you have in that tank?.
