What is a good bottom feeder for a small tank? I like the small size of the corys, but their size is offset by them needing company of their own kind.

So... what kind of bottom feeder for a small tank? I've got 2 tanks ... both 5 gal, one with 2 platys and one with a single male betta.

Thanks!

Shrimp would fit, but there's always the chance that they could be eaten. Bettas have been known to eat small shrimp such as ghost shrimp, and I'll bet that a platy could as well.

Bumblebee gobies would also qualify. They are brackish fish though, and the other inhabitants of your tank are freshwater.

And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."

The shrimp are a good idea... of course, the only shrimp I can get around here is grass shrimp from the bait shop. But, they are cheap, small, and if they get eaten, no big deal.

Thanks!
